One suggestion may help others who are struggling, and that was simply to delete all cookies and refresh. (Dad, don't you do this unless you can remember all the things you want to put back after the cookies have been destroyed.) I did this on the mobile phone and that got me in at least.
Another suggestion was to reduce the number of "outside" widgets that I use, and while I may do this at some point, my argument was they've all been on there for a while and this only happened on Friday.
Another suggestion, when using my mobile phone, was to use "/?m=1" at the end of the website address, e.g. http://dianeparkin.blogspot.com/?m=1. I tried this and it made it a lot easier and quicker, and I can read and reply/comment, but I don't think I can post. However, all I wanted to do this weekend was reply/comment. It works perfectly for the gig list because I don't post to that from the phone anyway and comments aren't allowed (http://dianesgiglist.blogspot.com/?m=1).
So I'm happier today, mostly because someone went to the trouble to help me. Two people in fact. Even if things can't be fixed, that simple, single thing alone means so much more.
I have been, and still am, working very hard on the current annual. I'm also writing The Fool and proofing a history book. It rained ALL DAY yesterday, so I still have washing to hang on the line and more to put through the washing machine.
See, told you it would be boring once I finished work.
4 say Yo!:
Darn, you've just reminded me to get off the computer and sort the washing out!
I agree, just knowing someone is listening makes a lot of difference.
Switch to wordpress. It, too, is free, easier, more reliable, and people who work there actually help you if there's a problem. And yes, you can access it from your phone, too.
You can set up and transfer everything. It's easy as can be.
Sarah, glad to be of assistance. :o) I got a line full out, and a dryer load in too.
Devon, if I can transfer it all over, I'll certainly take a look at that. Lots of Bloggers are complaining that they're getting NO feedback and they're threatening to jump ship. If the problems aren't fixed this week, they're going to lose a lot of customers. If I can post from the phone too, in emergencies, that will be perfect.
